The honest short answer
The Helen Chamber of Commerce, which runs Oktoberfest, does not publish parking lots, fees or shuttle details on its Oktoberfest pages (checked October 28, 2026). The City of Helen does publish a public parking map (PDF), and it is the best official source for where to park for the Helen Festhalle, 1074 Edelweiss Strasse, Helen, GA 30545.
What the City of Helen parking map shows
The map sorts public parking into three colors: city pay parking, city free parking and privately owned lots.
- Closest to the Festhalle (city pay): two city pay lots on Edelweiss Strasse between Chattahoochee Street and the Davidson Bridge. The Festhalle sits just across the bridge on Edelweiss Strasse.
- City free lots: a group of lots along Narrweg, south of the river and east of Main Street; one by Riverside Park on Edelweiss Strasse; one beside the library on Pete’s Park Road; and a large lot off White Street at the Volksmarch Trail.
- Privately owned lots: several west of Main Street (off Unicoi Street, at River Street by Fussen Platz), on Schlossweg and Chattahoochee Street, and one off Munichstrasse near the Festhalle. The map gives no rates; the owner posts them at the entrance.
- Accessible parking: the map marks accessible parking on Unicoi Street near Dye Street, west of Main Street. Public restrooms are marked at the Helen Welcome Center on Bruckenstrasse.
The map shows no prices and no Oktoberfest-only rules, and the file on the city’s site dates from May 2023 (retrieved October 28, 2026). Lots and rates can change, so follow the posted signs.
Hours to plan around
Monday through Thursday the Festhalle is open 6–10 PM, Friday 6–11 PM, Saturday 1–11 PM and Sunday 1–7 PM. Sunday admission is free for everyone, and from October 1 through November 1 the hall is open nightly.
What we do not list
We only publish details we can source. Neither the Chamber nor the city map publishes parking prices, shuttle times or festival-night lot rules, so we do not guess at them. If you see lot names, addresses or prices elsewhere, check them against the city map and the signs on the day.
Staying overnight
If you would rather not drive at the end of the night, our where-to-stay page covers how to think about location and walkability.
Dates can change. The organisers have the final word: Helen Chamber of Commerce — official Oktoberfest pages
